I am so glad we put this challenge together. Even though we put together these challenges for the month for you, it is a complete other thing to actually follow through with the challenges. I know it's only the 3rd day, but what a refreshing experience this is so far on a personal level. It's nice to break out of the mold of day to day thinking to think of new ways that these simple words inspire me in my own work. I hope everyone out there is feeling the same way. February 3rd: "Color"
The prompt for the day is "Color". What comes to mind for you when you think of the word "Color"? We would love to see that applied in your photography. There are really no boundaries for this challenge so get as simple or creative as you like. You can take these prompts as literal, abstract, or creatively as heart desires. There are no right and wrongs in art, just personal growth and meanings. We would love to see a huge variety of interpretations from everyone. You can use you cameras, phones, devices, etc. Feel free to use straight out of camera photos, edits, filters, or compositions. Where ever your creative mind takes you, we would love to see and share in your journey this month.
For me, my own inspiration definitely came from Wizard of Oz when I though of the word "Color". There was no greater movie example of introducing such bold color in a formerly black and white world than Wizard of Oz. Being that this was a movie on repeat , especially for my oldest growing up, and even an experience that was not to be missed once a year for me growing up, how could I not use it for my inspiration.
So what inspires you? This could be so many different things and so many different meanings to different people. Share yours with us, we would love to see and hear it!
