February's Complete Photography Challenge List here.
February 18th: "Read"

I love to read. It's so nice to be able to dive head first into a story and let your imagination go wild. I love everything from all kinds of fiction, to biographies, to business books, to good ol' fashion kids books. It's nice to get away from the day to day once in awhile when you know you can get there with just a flip of a page. I have so many favorite stories and authors and books all over the house. I am definitely old school when it comes to books and love the comfort and warmth of holding an actual book. For someone that spends so much of their time on a computer, it's nice to have the tactile feel of a book in your hands. If I'm trying to relax the last thing I would want, would to be reading off of another screen. I know so many people love them and they are great for traveling and being able to have so many books on one device, but alas, I would still want an actual book.
So what are some of your favorite books? Do you like to get lost in a mystery, romance, realistic fiction, sci-fi, or fantasy? Or do historical or biographical really hit home with you? Show us your "Read" and tell us why you love it so.
I'm personally a huge fan of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll. I always have been since I was a little girl. But this lovely version of a pop-up book that was made by Robert Sabuda, really has my heart. He's created pop-up versions of "The Wizard of Oz" and "Peter Pan" along with a long list of favorites. He ingeniously created a most lively interactive version of this all time favorite. He loving captured all of the many details of the story in a beyond compare pop-up book. He takes pop-up books to an extreme that you just have to see to believe possible. It just goes to show you are never too old to appreciate great stories and great art.
We can't wait to see them!
